Hi. I’m Alana, and I have been editing development sizzles, trailers and promos for the past 6 years for TV, Film, Brands and Social Media.

I am one of few female sizzle editors in the field, and I love the challenge of finding the best way to bring about a feeling or a certain energy from an edit, whether that be pure shock and entertainment from an unpitched reality TV show; intrigue and mystery from a documentary sales trailer; a sense of heart with comedy from a new feature film script; or the feeling of total luxury and unwinding with a premium promotional video.

From 2017 until December 2023, I worked for Gordon Ramsay’s production company in London starting out as an assistant and working up to Development Producer, where I helped develop award-winning shows, worked across BAFTA-award-winning series, and cut sizzle-after-sizzle for the UK & US, securing commissions with various networks including Amazon, BBC, ITV, C4, FOX and National Geographic. Here, I also directed and co-produced an award-winning short documentary fronted by Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly Ramsay on the importance of ‘the talk’ [sex education] in a child’s upbringing which had its premiere in Los Angeles. 

In 2021, I had the privilege of editing the opening of Shush Film’s feature film Three Day Millionaire, available on Netflix and was also selected to join BAFTA x Connect. Prior to this, I worked on various productions including on location in Spain on Channel 4’s A New Life in the Sun, and cut my teeth on the set of Emmerdale, in Leeds, where I grew up.
